CASA Volunteer Scholarship Application

Friends of Alaska CASA (FAC) wishes to support CASA volunteers in their quest to improve their knowledge and skills relating to advocacy for abused and neglected children. Some community training opportunities charge a fee which may create a barrier for a volunteer who wishes to attend. Criteria for scholarship awards include: the volunteer currently has an active case; availability of funds; and, priority is given to those volunteers who have not previously received a scholarship from FAC. If approved for scholarship assistance, FAC will reimburse the CASA volunteer once training expense receipts are turned in. To receive continuing education credit, the volunteer must turn in documentation of training attendance to their local CASA program coordinator.
