Camperships
Friends of Alaska CASA (FAC) has budgeted funds for camperships for children in state custody. Applications must be completed by the child’s CASA or GAL.
If your child is in relative or home placement, OCS will not fund camp, so you may apply to FAC without contacting the child’s social worker.
If a child is in foster care, OCS has some funds for children for activities, including camp, and we ask that you first contact the child’s social worker to determine if funds are available for camp. If the child’s OCS funds have been used, you can still apply to FAC.
FAC has budgeted a certain amount and will provide funding for one camp per child per calendar year (summer, winter break, spring break, etc.). until funds are exhausted. Funds will be dispersed on a first come basis.
To apply, complete the form below and submit. You will be notified upon approval of the application.
Also please let us know if you have a situation that might qualify for an exemption to FAC guidelines. Questions should be directed to info@friendsofalaskacasa.org.
